The autumn weather in Mendoza has been kind to us and grapes for our 2012 vintages have been successfully harvested.
The warm sunny days during late March and early April provided the perfect conditions for final ripening and the harvesting process ran smoothly.
As expected, yields were lower than in previous years largely due to the adverse weather conditions earlier in the season. The upside of this is that the quality of the grapes is outstanding!
The fermentations tanks are full to bursting and the next stage of the winemaking process has begun.
This year for the first time we’ve also harvested some Cabernet Franc - an exciting new addition to the Carmelita family! We’ll have more news on this soon...
