New year, exciting new beginnings for Carmelita!< back to Our Journal

2022 really does feel like a new beginning for Carmelita. Our stock fire in July 2019 was just the start of what turned out to be a challenging couple of years for us all. But, hopefully, things are starting to look a little peachier.

Our 2019 and 2020 vintages are maturing in bottle and shaping up nicely. All our wines are showing a true expression of the Uco Valley; bold red berries and blackberries on the nose combined with spicy notes and long, elegant finishes.

We’ll soon be travelling back out to the vineyard. The intensity of the summer heat is slowly cooling, the fruit is ripening on the vines and the first leaves are turning from green to orange and red. The end of the 2021/22 growing season is nearing and the hard work and celebration of Vendemmia (harvest) is not far away!

Arrangements are being finalised for our next shipments to the UK. We’re hoping to have Carmelita Malbec 2019, Carmelita Cabernet Franc 2019 and Carmelita Vista Malbec 2019 all back in stock in time for our busy Autumn 2022 season of events and wine shows. Plus, we’re excited to announce that we’ll have a brand new addition to the Carmelita family – a Gran Corte; Carmelita Gran Corte 2019 is an exquisite blend of Malbec and Cabernet Franc. We can’t wait to share it with you!

There are also a few changes to our website. We’ve added new images and (once our stock arrives!) made it easier for you to buy our wines directly from us – do take a look!
